Happy August, everyone! Did you know that August is National Read A Romance Novel month? I learned this myself this week! The Romance genre is a wonderful thing to celebrate. To do so in a very special way, I invited one of my dearest friends to tell us about her newest endeavor in the writing world. This woman is Amazing. And she is here to help other writers be amazing too. Please give a warm welcome to my sparkly hero, romance author, and writing guru, Kerri Carpenter!

Most writers have oodles of free time to leisurely work on their manuscripts.
Yeah…that’s a big, fat lie.
The majority of writers are inundated with things like day jobs, children, pets, aging parents, laundry, household chores, volunteer commitments, family issues, worldwide pandemics, or a mix of those items! It makes finding time to write nearly impossible.
In addition, writers are expected to do so much more than simply jot down words on the page. There’s social media, query letters, websites, bios, media kits, and more. Sometimes you get so busy promoting the fact that you’re a writer that the question becomes:
When do you find the time to write?
That’s where I come in. Trust me, I’ve been there. I can help you with all those tedious, but necessary, tasks that help you in your writing journey so you can focus on the really important part: the writing.

About Kerri…
I am an award-winning contemporary romance author with over a dozen published books. Over the years, I have worked at The Washington Post and multiple nonprofit organizations. My “day job” experience encompasses a wide array of communications, marketing, public relations, and writing skills, including social media, content creation, editing/proofreading, organizational tasks, advertising, and event planning.
More Ways to Connect with Kerri
On a personal note, I live in Northern Virginia with my husband, two children, and codependent dog. I enjoy reading, cooking, watching movies, rooting for Pittsburgh sports teams, and anything sparkly.

A big thank you to Kerri for joining us today and offering up her services. I’ve known Kerri as both a friend and fellow writer since 2010. She is one of the hardest working and persevering people I know. Writers are in good hands with her. And did I mention she’s hilarious?
Have a great week, everyone! Good luck in all of your endeavors.
