Going Hero Deep with Elyzabeth M. VaLey!

I crush hard on romance novel heroes and I know you do too. Which is why I’m inviting special guest authors and their heroes to select and answer two questions for us. The questions come from a list I designed to dip into what really lies underneath all that strapping, heroic yumminess. Today’s guest author is one of the cutest yet steamiest writing honeys I know, the one and only Miss Elyzabeth M. VaLey! I have yet to read a hero of Elyzabeth’s that I didn’t fall in love with. Please give a warm welcome to Miss VaLey and her latest heart-conquering hero, William Dalton. I wonder what the ever charming Mr. Dalton is willing to share…

ATempestofPassion-evernightpublishing-JayAheer2015-3DrenderQuestion One: What do you smell like and what word would you use to describe a nice smelling woman?

What do I smell like? Ms. Love- Flores or is that Mrs.? Do you not deem that question a tad inappropriate? After all, we have hardly just met.

*William raises his eyebrows. A shadow of a smile flits over his lips.*

I will however share with you what I deem a nice smelling woman. She smells like sunshine and flowers, like apricots and peaches. She smells like the woodlands in spring: fresh and alive. Does that satisfy your curiosity, Ms. Love-Flores?

***Friends, I told you!!! I am such a sucker for Miss VaLey’s men! Mr. Dalton, stop smiling like that and yes, Ms. Love-Flores is satisfied. So very satisfied. Yet, all the more curious…***

Question Two: When is the last time you laughed really hard and what caused it?

*William grins. He stares out the window for a moment.* Continue reading

Going Hero Deep with Loni Lynne!

I crush hard on romance novel heroes and I know you do too. Which is why I’m inviting special guest authors and their heroes to select and answer two questions for us. The questions come from a list I designed to dip into what really lies underneath all that strapping, heroic yumminess. Today’s guest author is a dear friend of mine and fellow Waterworld Mermaid sister, Miss Loni Lynne! One thing I love about doing these hero interviews is the vast difference in the guys. You’ll see what I mean as you read on. Please give a warm welcome to Loni and her immortal, brooding hero, Mike. I wonder what Mike is willing to share…

silhouette couple together on motorcycle her lean backLoni Lynne: Folks, my hero, Mike Linder is a bit of a recluse. An immortal, having been turned during a bloody battle in Vietnam. He has a lot of angst and horrors deep inside that are darker than the immortality he now lives with.

But I have managed to coerce him from his dark, hidden sanctuary…briefly.

Aww, Mike, hugs from all of us reading, and thank you, xoxoxo.

Loni Lynne: Mike, I know you don’t really want to be here so I’ll be gentle. What is your favorite song and why?

Mike Linder: (scoffing, slouches in metal folding chair, arms folded) Really? What kind of lame ass question is that? This isn’t the Dating Game, Loni.

Loni Lynne: (Rolling her eyes) Just answer the question.

Mike Linder: Fine. Favorite song? Mornin’ by Al Jarraeu Continue reading

Going Hero Deep with London Saint James!

I love romance novel heroes and I know you do too. Which is why I’m inviting special guest authors and their heroes to select and answer two questions for us. The questions come from a list I designed to dip into what really lies underneath and within all that strapping, heroic yumminess. And who better to kick things off than the amazingly talented romance author, London Saint James! Please give a warm welcome to London and her hero, Petúr, as we see what the star of Rise of the Lost Prince is willing to share…

riseofthelostprince1mQuestion One: When is the last time you did something that really hurt?

Petúr: Pretty much daily. Since my brother-in-arms and I are constantly battling the darkness, I tend to always be doing something in those scrimmages with the darklings that hurts. Like taking a blow to the back of the head. Ouch!

Ouch indeed, my friend. Careful with those darklings, we romance readers don’t want too many hairs on your head harmed.

Question Two: When is the last time you missed the chance to say something to someone and what kept you from saying it?

Petúr: The moment my lips met Wyndi’s was the last time. I didn’t tell her who she really was to me. How much I wanted her. Needed her. I suppose what kept me from telling her the instant I knew, was I needed to come to grips with the fact I—someone not human—had a human mate.

And the beauty of that, Hon, is just how incredibly human a reaction it was to hold back and keep quiet.

Friends, don’t you agree? Ready for a little more from Petúr’s story? Me too! Anyone in the mood to see this wonderful trailer? Check it out HERE.

Wintery Welcome to Nicola Cameron: Breaker Zone!

Happy Monday, friends! It is officially winter and with holidays, festivities and snow falling on the site, I’m calling this month’s guest spotlights our Wintery Welcomes. I’ve asked everyone stopping by in December to share something extra about their characters. With the New Year approaching, today that question falls to an amazing romance writer, Nicola Cameron. I’ve loved following the Mid Week Teases from Breaker Zone and can’t wait to see how Nicola’s men are going to answer…

Carlene: My dear Nicola,  please tell us who  your heroes would most like to kiss at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Nicola: That’s a good question — let’s ask them!

Nick: Um, you mean apart from Aidan and Liam? Okay, I would not say no to kissing Trent Reznor because, you know, HOT.

Aidan: Maighstir isn’t going to like this, but Joe Manganiello. Especially if he dipped me.

Liam: All I really want are my mates. But if Michael Fassbender decided to go for a midnight swim in the cove, well…

Carlene: Nicola, your men are as entertaining as you, my friend! And have some seriously good taste in fantasy book boyfriends! 😉

When Dr. Nick Gardiner goes on the run from a psychotic ex and ends up at Olympic Cove, the last thing he expects to find is his friend Ian living with two redheaded demigods and learning how to be a storm god. Adding to the confusion is a wounded merman named Aidan who washes up in the cove, requiring Nick’s professional help. As it turns out, the handsome mer and his partner Liam have other plans for the ER doctor — to claim him as their agapetos, their destined mate, and fulfill his need to submit.

A chance encounter at a local junk shop reveals that Nick has his own role to play in the battle against the insane Nereid Thetis. Under the reluctant mentorship of the centaur Chiron, Nick must master the use of the Rod of Asclepius if he wants to rescue his mates from a ghastly fate and help Ian save the planet.

Not long into her stay at the house, she bumps into the night guard, George. She’d expected an old, balding guy with a comb over, so the hunky chap she actually meets is a very pleasant surprise. The introductions complete, George leaves Emily in peace to get on with her job. But when a falling photograph sets off a chain reaction of ghostly events, Emily and George are thrown together in order to find out who—or what—is causing them. Their investigation uncovers a tragic past, a lost love, and a stunning secret.

Welcome Elyzabeth M. VaLey! Bear Heart #NewRelease

It’s Monday. And we all know what a beast this day of the week can sometimes be. Which is why I’ve brought one of the cutest, sweetest authors I could think of to melt away those grumpy tendencies and make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Okay, that might be laying it on a bit thick, but I’ve just recently read Elyzabeth M. VaLey’s Bear Heart and while it’s definitely heartbreaking, poor Simon, it’s got a classic happily ever after. I truly enjoyed this story and the time I got to spend lost in the fantasy. Now let’s see what Elyzabeth has prepared for us. (She really is adorable.)…

Greetings everyone! I’m thrilled to be visiting Carlene today with my latest release, Bear Heart.

Carlene asked me to write a ten things post about the hero, Simon and I thought that it´d be great to work together with Simon to come up with those things. It wasn’t such a great idea. Simon could only come up with things like, I have a beard, I have long hair, my eyes are brown, I’m a shape-shifter…

Seeing as I was frustrated, Margaret offered to help me out. Soon, Soussanna and Morgana also pitched in and together, between laughter and tears, we’ve come up with this list of ten things you should know about Simon Lancaster:

  1. He’s a shifter, yes, but he’s also human. He will think over things a thousand times.

  1. His heart is in the right place. He might have done some wrong in his life, but haven´t we all?

  1. He doesn’t believe he deserves happiness and he struggles with the idea of a second chance.
