I am very excited today because our guest is the lovely and talented author, Doris O’Connor! She’s here to share her new release, Too Devious to Tame, but first, is going to answer the Valentine’s Kissy Question I’ve been posing to February’s guests. Special treat–looks like she’s gotten a little help from her sexy friend, Giorgio.
♥A KISS ACCORDING TO DORIS♥
and Giorgio…ooh la la
So, is a kiss meant to be more romantic or more heroic? Meaning is it meant more to give pleasure to the person or to stake a claim to them? Take it away, Doris…
It depends on the circumstances, I think. A kiss can be a merging of souls or it can be hard and punishing, bruising, arousing, and on the flip side of this, also distasteful. My heroine Jemima is certainly no stranger to the whole range of kissing that can happen, and neither is Giorgio, but I shall let him speak on that subject.
This is his favourite kind of kissing, as taken from the story:
“Sssshh, cara mia, you can. Trust me.” Kissing the new tears away, he felt her sigh of surrender, when his mouth found hers. She opened tentatively, and he wasted no time to swoop in and taste her. The salt of her tears mixed in with the sweet scent that was all her. She tasted of chocolate and vanilla and strawberries all rolled into one, and he took his time exploring her. He nipped and suckled, savoring the taste of her exploding on his tongue, and he barely suppressed his grunt of triumph, when her tongue touched his. They danced together for a while, the kiss growing more urgent, and passionate, only breaking contact to draw much needed oxygen into their lungs, before they delved back into each other.
Giorgio couldn’t even remember the last time he’d taken the time to simply make out. It had probably been with her. She had been the only woman he ever cared enough about to enjoy the simple things, to make love rather than have sex.
(Is it okay if we pause the spotlight to swoon for a second? Wow. Now that was a kiss worth its weight in hot, tender manliness. Thank you for sharing, Doris.)
BLURB:
When Giorgio Giovanni tracks the troublesome Jemima down in a hospital bed in Italy, he has one thing on his mind—revenge. However, the fragile woman he encounters is not the devious female he remembers. When it becomes clear that she is in danger, he risks everything to keep her safe.
Left for dead, Jemima wakes up in hospital, terrified, and with no idea of her identity. The angry man, who comes to claim her, is the only link to a shared past she can’t remember. A past that threatens to destroy them, and all she has ever held dear.
With danger all around them, and their sexual chemistry off the scale, can they find their way back to each other, or is the past too devious to tame?
