Happy Monday which means it’s Monday Cute Meet day! In the romance novel world, a “cute meet” is typically the first significant contact the hero and heroine have that sets them on their romantic journey. Monday Cute Meet is my way of introducing you to new books, authors and some fantastic journeys between the pages.
I absolutely get mesmerized every time I look at today’s guest’s book cover! Let’s give a big, warm welcome to the author responsible for that loveliness, SJ Thomas!
A Christmas curse trapped him and a Christmas wish released him, but will the passion that is ignited be strong enough to keep them together?
Cursed by the Spirit of Christmas, Scottish tree spirit Ghille Dhu has been bound in his spirit form to the Christmas tree for over a hundred and fifty years. He can only be freed by a woman with a true belief in Christmas.
Escaping the hurt of a recent breakup, Amanda Pearce has come to Scotland for the holidays and she is stunned when her idle wish for someone to share Christmas with conjures a fierce, wild looking male from her Christmas tree.
Having been trapped for so long Ghille Dhu is gripped by an overwhelming lust and desire for the woman who has freed him; a lust and desire that Amanda returns. She wants this other worldly male, and when his dominant side is revealed Amanda is surprised by her ready submission.
As Christmas approaches Amanda submits to Ghille Dhu’s wild desires and firm control in ways she never has before, but will she give enough of herself to break the curse forever?
I asked SJ to share a little about her characters’ first meeting so without further ado…

Today I’m very happy to have with us, Morgan King, a fabulous romance author with a new story to share. I asked Morgan about how her characters, Blake and Jamie, first met and here’s what she had to say…
The clue is in the title, yes Blake is the instructor at the Hot Yoga Class Jamie attends each week. They become more than instructor and pupil the night Jamie falls asleep in class…
Uh-oh, falling asleep in class is a big no-no! Can’t wait to see how it turns out for these two. Here’s a little more from…

Today I’m very happy to welcome debut author, Evie Owen, and her new release, The Psychic Detective, part of the Once and Forever anthology. I asked Evie to share what she loved most about writing her story…
Thank you so much, Carlene, for inviting me to your blog to talk about my debut novella, The Psychic Detective. You asked what I enjoyed most about writing the story, or about the story itself, and in a way they both come down to the same thing: belief.
Last year was a tumultuous one for me personally (bad breakup of a long term relationship) and while I dealt with all the day to day stuff involved in that, I lost touch with my writing. In a way, I lost touch with myself. The longer I was away from writing, the harder it became to believe I could ever get back to it. But when my fabulous critique group decided to put together an anthology of original novellas, it gave me the motivation to find my way back to the writing.
It wasn’t easy. I did a lot of thinking about it, but very little actual working on it. In fact, I procrastinated so long that by the time I finally DID sit down to start, I was so behind I wasn’t sure I could finish it in time. I wasn’t sure my story would work. I wasn’t sure it would be acceptable. I wasn’t sure about a lot of things, but the one thing I WAS sure about was that I had to try.
I leaned into it, as a friend of mine likes to say. I left work every day and went to the local Panera’s and worked until they closed. I did the same thing on the weekends. The best thing about weekends was that I’ve got these great friends who often joined me at Panera’s, lending their good examples and supportive presence. And it worked! I turned the final file in just under the wire. Continue Reading
Welcome! It’s Monday and the perfect time for a Cute Meet. I’m not going to take too long with an introduction except for to say that if you haven’t read a Doris O’Connor story, you’re missing out! Her writing is special and I’m always entertained and touched by her characters. Lucky for us, she’s got a wonderful new release to tell us about today. I’ve snuck a peek and love the premise. I’ll let Doris take it from here. And, cue…
Thanks so much for having me here today.
What would happen if Mrs. Ordinary meets Sweden’s answer to Brad Pitt? That is the premise behind The Housewife and the Film Star, and one that I had great fun with. I can’t be the only one who day dreamed about her latest celebrity crush and wondered, what if? Continue Reading
